The residual lifetime of methane steam reformer tubes
The steam reforming of methane is a widely used process to produce hydrogen.
This process requires the use of furnaces operating at a very high temperature, which indices operation under severe conditions for tubes materials.
We estimate the residual lifetime of the tubes using creep tests or replica microstructure examination, using procedures developed by Air Liquide.
This method is available to all subsidiaries of the Air Liquide group.
Our testing activities
CTE offers tests on oxygen safety, cylinder conformity and equipment performance.
