Flexible hoses
These tests demonstrate the ability of the hoses to withstand their normal conditions of use in order to avoid any danger.
Why perform performance tests on flexible hoses ?
Whether or not they are subjected to high pressure, flexible hoses are a source of potential damage: whipping, bursting of fittings and projection of pieces of hose, and leaks of gas or liquids that can lead to injury.
What is the objective ? Guaranteeing the safety of users.
What do these tests involve ?
Our technicians can perform the following tests :
- Endurance tests.
- Leakage tests.
- Flexibility and robustness tests.
- Flexion endurance tests
- 'Whipping' tests.
- Ignition test in case the gas is more oxidising than air.
- Decomposition test in the presence of acetylene.
The tests are carried out mainly according to ISO 16964.
